I have a slim that I have installed 3.71 M33-4 on using a hard-modded Pandora. I am interested in returning the firmware to official. Is it possible, and how do I do it? Thanks in advance.

Just get the offical upgrade eboot.

I dont know why you would want to but, sure. I'm not sure what will happen. But you have the security of pandora just incase.

Unless the official firmware you wish to run is 1.0 or 1.5, this is madness. :)

If you try and install an OFFICIAL firmware over a CUSTOM firmware you will get the DADADADADA custom error code.
Use Pandora to restore your PSP to the Official firmware.

I wanted to follow up on this post to correct myself.

Triv1um is correct.

It is possible to install an Official firmware update if you are using Custom Firmware 3.71M33 and above.

the dadadada etc message was on firmwares before 3.71.

the reason for it was that if a older cfw tried to update it would brick the psp due to a bug so da blocked it.

3.71 can go to ofw since the bug was fixed and da's dadada block was removed.
