i read on this forum that u can't run homebrew on 1.00 upgraded to 1.50... but my question is, is there any chance to find the diffrence between factory 1.50 and upgraded 1.00 one excluding running some emu or any other sw? i ask coz i don't want to buy psp which i can't run homebrew with, and all that i know of consoles being sold on polish auctions (allegro.pl) is that consoles are 'new' JP 1.50 ('new' coz it must be opened and run if somebody knows it's 1.50, right?) and i don't know if they are not upgraded from 1.00... i can personaly buy console, but won't be able to check anything more then can be checked with offical menu... plz give some ideas how to solve it ;)

You can run homebrew on any console with the firmware 1.50.

I have never heard of any UPgraded 1.50 having any problems.
I got both of mine off Ebay

i read here - http://www.dcemu.co.uk/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=10369 in this guide that 1.50 upgraded from 1.00 won't let u run homebrew... so how is it?

What the hell? People are douche bags. I myself had a 1.0 and hated how there was a lot of homebrew out there that wouldn't run on it. I upgraded to 1.5 and it works perfect. YES I CAN RUN HOMEBREW. Why wouldn't I? Geeze.

I upgraded my Jap 1.0 to 1.5 a month or so ago. Can still play my Genesis, SNES and GB/GBC emulators no problem. Can't comment on any other emulators but I've had no problems at all.

I dont know where the thread starter heard this, but it couldnt be further from the truth. Any PSP with 1.50 firmware can run homebrew. Period.
