I have been up and down these froms with a fine tooth comb. Have found a few tutorals and the programs needed. But even after reading step by step i still can't get DreamSnes and roms to run. I know you really can't help with roms but how about the emulator. I need some that (please don't laugh) will take my hand and walk me through a few things. From start to when i get it :) I am sure it's the small things i am not understanding. I just need things explained a bit more. maybe if someone is willing to step me through it on an IM of sorts. I know am asking for alot but would really like to play some classics on my DC. Please if anyone can help. Thanks.

P.S I tried using this guide. http://www.dcemulation.com/selfboot-dreamsnes.htm again thanks

firstly what burning software are you using, i find it best to use nero version 5, and also you should use selfboot inducer, which you can get here http://consolevision.com/members/sbiffy/files/ then go here http://consolevision.com/members/sbiffy/browse/browse.cgi?browse&Emus and download dreansnes_98_cg.sbi. When you have all this software post again and i will help you with the rest, please note that there are other methods for burning dreamsnes, but this is the method i prefer, im sure someone else can give you advice on other methods, if you havent got nero

Ok downloaded dreamsnes_98_cg.sbi. As for the selfboot inducer i chouldn't find it with the link you gave but is it the same as selfboot from http://www.dcemulation.com/selfboot-dreamsnes.htm If it is then i am set if it isn't then what am i looking under on the link you gave? Is it the Sbindv4.exe? if it is then i also have that downloaded. I am using Nero 5.5 So i guess were set. Let me add this though. I tried burning with Nero and my dreamcast told me to insert disk. Then reading around some folk said diskjuggler should be used or alcohol. tried both these and my dreamcast would just go back to the menu where you tell it to play or music etc. It didn't tell me to insert disk. Don't know why i just told you all this lol sorry. Ok am ready for the next steps. again Thanks for the help. Also read somewhere that as long as you have a 0 or 1 for the dreamcast you should be able to read cd-r. Thanks

Personally I'm beginning to think DC emulation is a complete hoax to get me to click on all these craptacular sites with pop-up windows. I've gone through every single set of instructions and created dozens of iso's, wasted dozens of cds and not a single f**king one of them will work. If anyone can actually provide real, useful, real life examples of you personally got this working I would worship you completely.

Little off-topic here, but which sites have pop-ups? This site shouldn't have pop-ups. The sites at DCEvolution don't have pop-ups. The sites at Consolevision don't have pop-ups. The only sanctioned site in the community that I know of that has pop-ups is DCEmulation.

Anyway - no, selfboot-dreamsnes.htm is not at all the same as using SBInducer. You can download Sbindv4.exe from http://consolevision.com/members/sbiffy/files/

You've already got the SBI file for DreamSNES. If you install SBInducer (Sbindv4.exe) on your computer, and follow the tutorial (there's a copy in one of the windows when you open SBInducer, and there's a slightly better copy at http://dchelp.dcevolution.net/?id=sbindv4 ) then you should be good to go. The SBI file you downloaded even includes a readme for the emulator itself, that will be displayed in SBInducer when you click on the SBI file.
