I'm looking for anyone who has painted a PS3.
I am going to be painting my PS3 hopefully soon. What I want to know is what people have done in regards to the touch sensitive “soft” power and eject buttons. All the photos of painted PS3s that I seen have shown these buttons with the original black paint.
Here are the two aluminum buttons removed.

I want to avoid painting the finished aluminum surface of the buttons. Has anyone bothered to take the time to paint these by hand? I've considered applying tape or perhaps rubber cement.
All serious suggestions or recommendations will be greatly appreciated. Any other replies could result in the "Mod Cat" coming for you.

I will post my results at completion of the project as well as the the methods I will employ.
I'm posting this to multiple locations to gather as much info as possible.
