Nintendo has denied internet reports that the Metroid Prime Trilogy in its entirety is coming to Wii.

According to GoNintendo, a tipster claimed that the computer system of a retailer had a new Wii game listed as 'Metroid Prime Trilogy'.

Internet speculation jumped to the obvious conclusion that Metroid Prime 1, 2 and 3 were being repackaged as one and the GameCube games were being revamped for the console.

But speaking to CVG, Nintendo labelled the rumour as "Purely rumour and speculation."

The rumours come off the back of three principal Metroid Prime developers (http://www.computerandvideogames.com/article.php?id=187590%22) leaving company Retro, after being apparently escorted off the premises.

Well, this seems obvious. They've only done 1 remake in Super Mario All-stars and never bothered to copy the successful idea. Besides, the 3rd game was already on the Wii, so why would they bother to re-release it?
