What is easiest way to upgrade 3.03 0E-B to 3.95

I am selling this to a kid who just wants plain Vanilla PSP firmware.

When I try run the 3.95 updater from ../game or ../game150 with either eboot kernel it just goes black and powers down.

Yes I can get in recovery mode. But I don't have any original folder structure on MS (it's new 4gb MS)

What should be my steps?

Use pandora, you can upgrade to ofw or cfw. Here's the link

when I tried to move to 3.52 m33 from OE using a 4G memstick, the update failed.
Same story for
3.52 m33-4 ,
3.71 m33 etc.

They all worked ok using a smaller memstick (512M , but
others up to 2G should also work)

You first got to download a m33 creator so that you can upgrade to 3.52 m33-4, 3.71 m33 etc.
