Cube is a 3d engine, similar to quake 1 and 2 (maybe arena also), with great graphics and sounds. It uses SDL and Opengl. The source code is very small, and very well comented.
It has very small requirements of hardware.

PD: Cube 2 is too complex for dc. It uses shaders, scene mapping and glow.

It looks good, it would be really great to see this homebrew game ported to Dreamcast.

Played it on my pc. Not bad, with a few tweaks Dreamcast port may be possible. the only issue would be getting the system to be 60 fps! i guess it was made like a Quake 3 Clone, which Quake 3 was on DC, so Graphics shouldn't be an issue!

Are you serious? The Dreamcast can't do shaders, scene mapping and glow!

yes, i known. Cube 2 is nearly imposible to port.

Cube 1 is very possible to port because is a really simple engine. It uses basic effects, and it's made thinking in old pc's.

The engine looks amazing, I might look into the source code a bit.

So about the shaders and stuff, in my old post.

currently downloading. the dreamcast has a pretty decent graphics chip, doesn't it? though it's potential is seldom used, especially in homebrew. but i'm sure it'd be extremely hard to do and whatnot.
