Hi to everybody ! :)

I'd like to buy a Treamcast to use it with homebrew and emulators.

I've read that it can run everything without any problem, be it NTSC, PAL, backuped games and emultors/homebrew.

At the same time I've read on this site that is still selling it (http://www.lan-kwei.com/treamcastE/ ) that is "plays NTSC-U games only unless modified".

Is that true ?

What kind of modification ar they speaking about ?

By the way, do you know that on-line seller ? Is it trustable ?

Thanks for your help.

The "modification" they're talking about is probably a mod-chip. But it's basically a plain vanilla Dreamcast with a screen, so you'll only need a boot-disc (Gameshark, DC-X, etc.) to boot most imports. Homebrew/emulation-related stuff should work just the same as a regular Dreamcast.

For more info, <a href="http://dcemu.co.uk/treamcast.shtml">here's</a> a review.

There's also more info at http://forums.dcpawnshop.com/ and they are available for sale on that site, too.
