It would be lovely to have the game available on DC. We could polish it to fit in with real DC games, add characters and stages.

Or downporting Super Smash Bros. Melee would be even better.

Is it at all possible?

It wouldn't be possible to port them, but emulating them would be possible. Super Smash Bros. Melee would never be possible because the GC is 2-3x more powerful than the DC. The 64 version might run in DaeladusDC but it would only run at 10 FPS with no sound.

Chui said in an interview that he would look into N64 emulation after he's done with his PSX emulator (which he hasn't started).

Your only choices left are to use a PC emulator like Project64, use a N64 emulator on XBOX if you have one or buy the hardware.

Emulating is the only option for a few reasons:

1: Porting Software means to take the code from the game and converting it to work in other systems. So to Port SSB64 Nintendo has to release the Code!

2: If Nintendo Released the Code : You would have to convert any n64 CPU Assembly to DC CPU Assembly, then port functions that maybe needed by the n64 SDK to KOS and OpenGL!

If you see an open-source Clone, then that may be portable!

No source code, no port. Simple as that.

Although, like the above two posts said, emulation could is possible (at a low speed/compatibility).

Unless you want to form a team and create a homebrew version of smash bros from scratch, emulation is the only way.

I think the easiest way would be a Stand-Alone Emulation. So the coder would port a Emu and Focus on only making it work with one game in this case Super-Smash.

I was about to Say that. if someone could write a standalone Smash Bros. 64 emulator for DC, in a very similar way to Bleem!Cast. that would be awesome. as would a homebrew port made from scratch with different characters.
