View Full Version : Jap 1.0 upgraded to 1.5 - won't run homebrew. True?

I searched on this but couldn't find what I needed.

I got a Jap psp, one of the first ones out with 1.0 firmware. I upgraded it to 1.51 literally the day before I found out about homebrew stuff and needing to have 1.50 to run it. I updated to 2.0 when it was available. Now that the downloader is out I figured I'll give it a try..

but...

I read this on a post and wanted someone to confirm/deny it.

**If you originally owned a 1.00 PSP, but performed an update to
1.50, your system will not allow homebrew. Don't know why, but it's true.**

Does this apply to PSPs downgraded to 1.5 as well? I don't want to downgrade my PSP if there is no chance of homebrew etc working on it.

Thanks in advance for any help.

it shouldnt be a problem, as long as you have 1.5 it should definately work...
and the snes emulator, i would use UO Snes9x and SnesTYL
you can access the menu to input screen ratio, frameskip, psp clock speed, etc
you can also look up a guide for Ideal Snes Settings, which ive seen before
