Then we read the press release for the game, and scoured the natty concept art (http://www.dsfanboy.com/photos/c-o-r-e/819825/full), and our eyelids suddenly began to feel awfully heavy. The truth is that C.O.R.E. sounds pretty hackneyed, what with its promise of marines, rocket launchers, and a sci-fi-tinged plot.
Still, we'll forgive it for all of that if it provides us with a fast, fun shooting experience. Local play for up to four players off of one card is at least a decent start.
