View Full Version : Nintendo dominates Japanese software charts

Nintendo platforms have dominated the Japanese software chart for the week ended May 25, with titles for the Wii and DS taking up nine of the top ten places.

Let's make a Pro Baseball Team! for the DS has entered the software charts at number one, selling 59,000 units.

It was closely followed by Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G for the PSP at 51,000 units, dropping from first to second place and pushing Mario Kart Wii down a place to third.

DS titles Glory of Hercules: Proof of Spirit and Scarlet Fragment DS are the only other new entries into the top ten debuting at fifth and seventh places respectively.

Great week for DS software stuff. I hope it will help to the DS hardware sales and maybe it will be over the PSP finally.

What could JKK have against Sony? perhaps it was the rootkit scandal: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2005_Sony_BMG_CD_copy_protection_scandal

or something else I haven't heard of
