Its unbelievable success makes it the third highest selling video game of all-time. Fans of the GTA franchise have now been waiting five years for the follow-up. Rockstar Games has been tight lipped about a new release and few legitimate reports have been leaked about GTA VI. Fans of the video game franchise can get their kicks playing the latest GTA inspired online slot game (https://www.casinowebsites.com/hotline-new-casino-game-with-new-unique-multi-level-bonus-bet-feature/).

Hard news on the new GTA game has been limited. Yet, there has been enough for fans to get excited about in anticipation for GTA VI.

GTA VI release date

It has been over five years since GTA V hit shelves. In that time, Rockstar Games has been working on the next edition of the highly successful game. Of course, when a company sells 95 million copies, they want its next release to be even bigger. Rockstar has built anticipation and excitement by not rushing out GTA VI. By resisting the urge to put out another GTA edition, it has made fans want the game even more.

There are rumours that GTA VI (https://www.maxconsole.com/threads/don%E2%80%99t-expect-sony-to-launch-playstation-5-until-2019.44594/) won’t be available until 2022 at the earliest. If the rumours are true, it would be nine years in between editions of the game. Rockstar has already stated GTA VI will not be released in 2019 despite a prank that sparked excitement amongst fans.

Making the timeline of a release even more frustrating is Rockstar’s penchant to holdback games. Rockstar delayed the release of GTA V and more recently, held back the release of the company’s other big franchise Red Dead Redemption.

GTA VI news

News has been limited on the new game, but that doesn’t mean there hasn’t been significant information released. According to reports claiming knowledge from an “inside source” at Rockstar, GTA VI will return to Vice City. Fans of the series will remember that Vice City (https://www.maxconsole.com/threads/liberty-city-stories-and-vice-city-stories-coming-to-psn-this-week.22051/) was the sixth installment of the franchise. It came out in 2002, and if the 2022 release date is true, then a return to old territory sounds possible. It will have been 20 years since Vice City came out, and it is the fourth highest selling GTA game behind GTA V, GTA IV, and San Andreas.

GTA VI what to expect

The previously mentioned “inside source” has leaked some very interesting news about the game. GTA VI is going by the codename Project Americas (https://hothardware.com/news/grand-theft-auto-6-rumors) at the Rockstar studios. The game will be set in Vice City, but players will be able to travel between both the United States and South America as drug runners. Most of the action is rumoured to take place in Vice City, however. While Vice City is a possible setting, some rumours suggest the game’s setting could span the entire U.S. In addition, the game could get a ‘70s makeover as its theme.

One thing is for sure and that is Rockstar is very secretive when it comes to its games. These tidbits of information could just be well placed rumours by the company. According to the Rockstar President Leslie Benzies, the developers have plenty of ideas to choose from that could see the game franchise continue long into the future. The leaked information could just be a diversion to keep fans from guessing what is in store for GTA VI.

That's awesome! Vice City is my favorite part! All those moments from old thug films were great. I don't talk about graphics. Other parts couldn't bring such an atmosphere. Hope the new one is gonna be better.
