Avengers video game from Square Enix is a third-person action adventure game. In a recent Square Enix job listing (https://www.crystald.com/careers), it is described as an “unforgettable” experience for Marvel fans.
After the release of Avengers End Game, fans are itching for something new Avengers related and this could just be it. Square Enix is hosting a press event at E3 2019 in Sony’s time slot since the Japanese hardware maker has dropped out of E3.
One of the most notable reveals expected from Square Enix is Avengers video game. While there isn’t much we know about Square Enix’s Avengers, the news of it being a third-person game fits with a recent report of the game featuring melee combat and stealth sections (https://segmentnext.com/2019/05/03/avengers-game-new-details/).
Melee combat is most effective when mixed with third-person camera perspective. However, games like Dishonored have done a great job with its first-person melee combat design. Some of the characters that come to mind when we hear melee combat are Captain America, the Winter Soldier, Black Panther, and Black Widow. These characters might be the most prominent in the Avengers.
It is safe to say that in order to make an Avengers game work, there must to be multiple playable characters and we jump from one character to another throughout the story mode.
Moreover, we also know that the Avengers is probably going to be a PlayStation 5 and Xbox Anaconda game. A separate job listing revealed that Avengers is in development for next-generation platform (https://segmentnext.com/2019/03/04/the-avengers-game-is-reportedly/).
