Mame Roms How To Make Them Work

how do you get the roms to work in mame as i put them zipped in the roms folder but they load up until it says ram check ok etc and then thats it they dont load emu still works as i can view menus etc but nothing else

please help

im running mame0.71 on a version 1.00

im trying to load double dragon and galaga just random ones to see whats any good

sorry but it looks like double dragon hangs and galaga is not supported.
the only games that seem to work are pre 1984.

Could you tell me what roms work it would be much appreciated is their a version of mame where kung fu master works as thats one of my all time favourite arcade games :D

Does anyone know of one that supports the simpsons arcade game?

I just tried kung fu master and can say that it will run quite well on the irem mame 097
with the cpu set to 333 and sound turned down to 22khz.
no such luck with the simpsons though, seems to just run out of memory.

Damn it if I could get that and a dreamcast emu with jet grind radio I would be set.

what needs to happen is someone has to make a list of roms that work i thinjk i will try and do this as most lists i find are usually incorrect thanks for post on kung fu master plungmonies il give that bad boy a go tonight
