Why cant i make my MapThis Maps?

Ok im trying make some maps with googlemaps and mapcruncher (and ive read everythign in Wiki). Im following the steps exactly but in GMDL after i "pull tiles" im getting solid black tiles, and in Mapcruncher when i open the files im getting an eroor message "Can Not Open Map Soure".

Can some one please help me? Is there another guide other than Wiki, or premade maps somewhere (that would be convientant)
