PSP cannot connect HELP

every time i try to connect my PSP to my XP SP3 pc, my PC keeps rebooting until i disconnect my PSP.. HELP ME!!

btw: My PC often just reboots, during the sessions.. can anybody help me with thta? is it a virus or something?
