Today Nintendo held a conference to formally announce its Nintendo WiFi plans for Japan and announce two new games.

The NCL post mostly reiterates Nintendo WiFi details Nintendo of America disclosed last week, such as the unique key assigned to a DS and the buddy list. Nintendo NCL also elaborated on its USB wireless router adapter, powered by Buffalo Technology and featuring its AOSS security management system. This suggests Nintendo DS will also work with existing secure wireless networks. The only supported OS mentioned is Windows XP. Nintendo WiFi will also be accessible through 3000 free hotspots throughout Japan, as previously announced.

Nintendo also announced two new Touch! Generation titles. The first title, due out in January, is designed to help Japanese adults improve English skills, using both character recognition and voice input. The second game is a sequel to the popular Work Your Brain game (which has already seen shipments of 800,000 copies in Japan) and comes out on December 29th.
