Help Please

Hello,

Recently i bought a UMD video from the USA to play on my japanese psp. I know that the UMD videos are not region free but i am running the latest version FW 4.01m33 and it has the region free feature.

I was wondering if the was a homebrew program or a way to run my umd video on my psp?

wait what. So then what is the point of the fake region option in the recovery menu? so there is absolutely no way around it?

fake region didn't work, damn
maybe dumping the UMD to your memory stick and using the xmb menu to load it, I don't know, may be worth it to give it a shot

On the xmb press select, set usb device to UMD Disc, then use usb conection copy files to your computer, I don't know if they need to be in a single iso file (investigate this part, I've never done it). put the files or the .iso file on ms0:/ISO/Video, mount umd video by pressing select on the XMB and selecting the option on the menu.
