Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children seems like a no-brainer for success, and the newly released sales figures further prove it. In Japan (the only market where you can “officially” see the movie), Advent Children has sold over 700,000 DVD and UMD copies in the three weeks since its release. 1up has pointed out some other figures to put its runaway success into perspective, the least of which is that this figure is double the sales for most top-selling games in Japan during the same time period.
The movie will be released in the United States in little over a month; it cannot come soon enough for those who are dying to see (or have already seen it and still want to buy it).
