PSP modding question(PLEASE HELP)

im getting a pandora battery in a few days along with a 2gb memory stick both from dealextreme.com. the problem? the memory stick is a knock off. i know that its safe to make magic memory stick with a knock off,but i was wondering if its safe to put games/emulators on said knock off memory stick?
