Capcom said Tuesday that the company wil rock two new Mega Man games to the PSP - Mega Man Powered Up and Mega Man Maverick Hunter X. The two titles are planned for an early 2006 release.

"The Mega Man and Mega Man X series combined top-notch play control and invigorating gameplay experiences that helped define the platform genre," said Todd Thorson, director of marketing, Capcom Entertainment.

"By introducing innovative ways to experience the original classics, both new and veteran gamers can enjoy side scrolling action at its best." Mega Man Powered Up is a brand new interpretation of the original Mega Man released on the Nintendo Entertainment System. In the game, Dr. Wily takes conrol of several robots to take over the planet.

Powered Up will include super-sized heads for Mega Man and company, revitalized levels, optional remix music, and a level editor to design custom stages.

Mega Man Maverick Hunter X is a remake of the original Mega Man X for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. In the game, a mysterious robot named X and fellow Maverick Hunter Zero must prevent evil Reploids from destroying humanity.

Maverick Hunter X will include all-new graphics, retooled gameplay, modified level arragements, new arch rival Vile, and an unlockable animated movie.
