No one can deny that Nintendo is doing its part to make the Japanese smarter, and keep its investors happy in the process. Reports from Japan reveal that the company has managed to ship a million copies of Nou wo Kitaeru: Otona no DS Training to Japanese retailers. That's right, Nintendo's DS brain training game is the the biggest thing to ever hit the Japanese DS. It's the DS's Seaman.
Following its release on 5/19 of this year, Nou wo Kitaeru has proven a consistent seller for the big N, remaining on the top ten list out of Media Create nearly every week. The game has proven a particular hit amongst older audiences and has, along with Nintendogs, been offered by Nintendo as evidence that its strategy of expanding the game market is working.
Nintendo will release a sequel, Motto Nou wo Kitaeru, on 12/29. The original title will be released in America under the name Train Your Brain in 2006.
