Tyne has released a preview of his secret side project he was working on along side Envenom. It's called The Ascension of Vigil and is a 2D Beat 'em Up Quake mod and supposedly puts Beats of Rage to shame. Here's the features in the release:[br][br]- Blocking & Countering, block an enemy attack then deliver your own in return[br]- Air combos (never done before in a Quake mod), and onground combos[br]- 2 enemies, knights and dogs[br]- A few levels, none of them are finished[br]- The game was modelled after Golden Axe but threw in some streets of rage and guardian heroes gameplay[br]- Introduction and title screen (to see the intro just leave the title screen waiting)[br]- Completely redone hit detection system, Quake's isn't good enough so I wrote my own :)[br]- Enemy AI has been written from scratch![br][br]This release works on the Dreamcast Quake ports, but the PC Quake engine, Darkplaces, is recommended.[br][br]You can download it and find out more in this (http://www.dcemulation.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=57434) DCEmulation (http://www.dcemulation.com/) topic.
