Do so at your own discression. If I were you I'd have googled befor I noted myself as a theif...

i had no idea i figured they were like roms, i was recently told about it and decided to ask around, due to what you have said i have deleted all forms of programs related to the matter. thank you

Hey, torrents have good uses too. I support the idea of torrents... just not for use of downloading illegal copies of roms and games.

how do torrents work? is it when more then 1 computer has data and you download from each to make 1 file?

It is more usefull for 56kers. They can download differant bits from multiple areas and get improved speeds. Alot larger files are distributed in the torrent form such as RTCW:ET (freeware) and Americas Army (freeware). Also alot of free music such as the stuff of ocremix is in torrent packages. It wasnt innitially created for warez at all.. just some stupid kids have to turn everything into a bad thing.

yeah not every torrent is illegal, even openoffice.org (which is very good) uses it
