hi,

im new to this stuff but i do use emulators on my pc (snes9x)
i just ordered my psp from the net, its a ceramic white jap version. i really want to emulate on it but i was wondering whether there are any cons to downgrading to 1.5. i live in australia and will be buying umd movies and games so i was wondering whether downgrading will affect this eg. not to be able to play certain games (newer games?) cus sony will make it that you have to upgrade (i read something like this on one of ur other forums)

i guess in short im asking that if i downgrade when i get the psp, will i miss out on any thing, or will it keep doing what it does.
thanks alot for ur patience (soz! im a noob and im confused and scard!)

Yes on some of the newer games it doesint start without the correct version. The only game that NEEDS 2.0 is GTA (I think). All the other games you can start by tricking your PSP into thinking it has a newer version with a version changer. I have given up 1.5 for good and I am staying at 2.0. Now I can run more then half of all homebrew (with the 2.0 loader at http://fanjita.org/ ). Plus have all the new features of 2.0, and play GTA.

WOW!!! I didn't know such a thing could be done. You mean to say you can run homebrew and emulators on 2.0 now???
