Ok let me explain my situation. I downgraded from 2.0 US to 1.5 US and now I want to upgrade back to 2.0 then to 2.5.

Keep in mind the wifi upgrade is not an option

So far I've:

1. Downgraded successfully to 1.50

2. Got sick of that and went to Sony's site to download the 2.5 Eboot

3. Copied the 2.5 eboot into the PSP/game/update folder (USB method) and ran it on the PSP. After running it, it upgraded to 1.52 rather than 2.5

4. I was pissed that it wasn't 2.5 so I tried to re-run the upgrade (I formatted my mem-stick completely but the upgrade still showed up on my PSP menu under game (it said PSPtm Update ver 1.52...EVEN AFTER I ALREADY UPGRADED AND I DELETED THE FILE AND UPDATE FOLDER OFF THE PSP)

5. I re-copied and pasted the 2.5 eboot from Sony's site to my PSP and the update to 1.52 option was still on my PSP. So I tried it but it won't work (says I'm already at 1.52)

------------

So what do I do? Do I need to first download 2.0 eboot? If so, where can I get a safe version?

If not that, then how do I get to 2.5?

buy a 2.0 or above game and run update off the umd
if you had a version changer did you change back to 1.5 before upgrade?
