PSP slim screen comes with a strongly attached plastic cover?

There's a hard plastic-like cover on the screen or am I mistaken? The screen is supposed to a bit depressed, but mine is somewhat even with the edges and the screen lighting is a bit distorted at the left edge.

So is there one?
