My psp is currently on version 1.50 of the firmware, but when I tried to update it to version 2.00 with the free umd there is no text and it wont allow me to run it. I've even tried downloading the eboot's and updating that way but it still wont work.

Any ideas as to whats gone wrong or of a way to fix this?

Do you have any pictures so we can see what you are talking about?

Thats the best I could manage I'm afraid but there isnt much to see. It just shows I'm on 1.50 about to run the 2.00 update from the umd. Everything else is what is on screen when it loads up... which isnt alot sadly.

Ah, I have had this problem before. I know exactly what you see. Go to settings > System Settings > Restore default settings. It should work afterwards.

I think this happens when you screw with your flash and try to run an update.
