Poploader confusion

I'm slightly confused about Poploader.
I have in the past played Ps1 games on my psp but not since updating to 4.01 m33-2.
Now I've read I have to run poploader.
I've read several different guides saying different way of doing this which has left me confused.

Can someone please tell me in plain english(still abit noobish)what I have to put where.

I have 401 and i dont use popsloader so i assume unless its for a particular game you dont need to

If The PSX Game Is In EBOOT Format Just Place It On Your PSP Mem Stick As Would With Any Other Game;

ms0:\PSP\GAME\PSXGAMENAME\Game.EBOOT

Ok,thanks for that...i'll give it a go.Was converting Dino crisis for ps1 orginal disc when ran into trouble.
Will have a play but good too know that I dont really need any of this poploader thing.cheers for reply.
