When it says:
6. Copy h.bin in root of your memory stick

7. Copy index.dat in root of your memory stick

what does it mean ''in root of your memory stick'' ?

If I have 2.01 firmware psp, is there a way to downgrade to1.50?

the root directory is your memory stich without open any other directory it is where you see mp root and psp

no you can`t downgrade from 2.01 2.5 and 2.6

When you connect to your PC your PSP will come up as a
Removable disk with a letter asighned ie F
just put files there not in a folder
Like when you explore your computer and can pick a hard drive
or dvd drive ie: C: and D: if you put it in C: that is the root of C:
where as C:\windows is not the root
so determine witch letter is your PSP and put files there
you may also come across copy to ms0 (memory stick zero)
basically means the same thing
so if told to copy to ms0:\PSP\game folder
this means click your PSP drive letter open the PSP folder
in this folder you will find a GAME folder open that and put files there
I hope this helps but unfortunately version 2.01 cannot be downgraded
at this stage but do not give up hope

Has anybody got a timeline for firmware updates?
I bought my PSP 2nd week in december from ARGOS(last one!) and didn't check my version number.
I thought I upgraded mine by network update on christmas morning.
I just tried the upgrading/downgrading route and worked fine, I just don't where I started from?
2 x friends have white jap imports from same batch and they started with V2.01
