mem stick help

hey, my lil bro opened up my 128mb mem stick duo :mad: and threw away the top. is there any way i can get it to work. the little hole on the side is supposed to have sonthing covering the top so that whatever is reading it knows that somthing is there, but its not there anymore. thx in advanced
