Well the most common problem with FFVIII on PSP is it always freezes, especially on FMV's for example when you start the game and then the game freezes. It freezes too when your battling an enemy. Well the solution is...

3.90 M33 This help stop the hang ups in battle mode

POPSLOADER with 3.71/3.72 EBOOT

And yeah when you make an EBOOT for FFVIII you need to use the GameID SLPS02180

Before cutscenes that will freeze, save the game then change to pops 3.71 or 3.72 then the cutscene will not freeze anymore, then, save your game and from the selection of pops select original from flash

Hope that helped. And oh yeah if I missed somethin let me know TY!

wow i have to try this asap. my eboot always freezes at the fmv switch to disc 3 and it's really annoying. one issue i found though is that my eboots aren't compatible with the save if i make a new one.

how can i make my save work with a different eboot. i think one of mine may be corrupted. i have the discs to rip for popstation....

Before the FMV starts save your game then change your pops to 3.71 or 3.72 oh and yeah try to avoid always using draw. and I tried it on 4.01 M33-2 It works great there too
