I dunno if this is the problem or not, but I know I spent a lot of time spinning my wheels with my first Pandora attempt before I realised that you need to hold down the 'X' button AS YOU INSERT THE BATTERY. Not just as you turn it on.

If that's not it, here's the guide and toolset I used: http://www.dcemu.co.uk/vbulletin/showthread.php?p=2148120636

I've done it once when i bought my first psp about a year ago and also to a friend but now i can't do it. I keep pressing the x button while putting the pandora battery and turning it on but nothing happens the psp stars normally. One thing i noticed is that when i insert the pandora battery the power light starts to flash orange and it stays like that all the time, does that means anything? is my pandora battery faulty? Thanks
