Hi Guys,
I used to own a PSP but it went back due to an abundance of dead-pixels and a lack of software. I was then going to wait out the GP2x, but it looks like the flaws it's riddled with aren't going away. Plus the community is jumbled with jerks.

So the question is, if I buy a PSP now... what version of firmware am I *likely* to end up with? All I want is to run SNES :P

Thanks Guys!

P.S. Does SW Battlefront II need updated firmware? Or does it update the firmware?

If you buy a new PSP now, you'll most likely end up with a PSP with 2.01 or above.

To play the snes emulators you will need at most firmware 2.00...so I'm afraid you will be out of luck!

People are working on running homebrew on all firmware versions but it could be a while yet!

Cheers,
Fox

P.S. Battlefront II requires firmware 2.00 and contains the update

Thanks for the reply!

That's what I was afraid of. I guess I will just have to wait it out, hopefully not long, and see what the future has in store for the psp's firmware.
