Im ONE STEP AWAY from screwing it all and updating my fat psp with original 1.5 firmware to the latest official Sony firmware!!! Here goes...

Ive been off the PSP for a wee while and still had devhook which i now learn is ANCIENT! Im pretty amateur at this so apologise for the newb questions. I know some ppl get really aggro at newbs! Im trying to upgrade to 352 M33 (or be it any version of M33...i hear M33 is the best choice now??!). Ive formatted my card to start from scratch, copied kxploit thing, M33 CREATOR, ran both and then gone to run the blue icon M33 UPDATER...here lies the problem...

First message fine, then..."Checking PSAR integrity...incorrect PSAR" ....psp reboots!

I've tried different downloads of the same version and ive tried different versions (351/352). Can someone...ANYONE...please tell me what to do before im tempted to screw it all and do the official Sony firmware update!!! Im on the edge!

I wanna get my PSP to the latest version and as far as I can work out I need to go from my 1.5FW --> 351 M33 --> 351 M33-4 --> then the latest version of M33, does this sound about right?

from 3.51 m33-4 to 3.80 m33-3

then you can use the network update to go to the latest M33 (3.80m33 and up have had the network update look for M33 updates)

from 3.52 M33-4 is what you mean...

once at 3.52 M33-4, update to whatever you want... if i were you ( or anyone really.... ) id update to the latest ( 5.00 M33 ) and then handle the mini updates via the network update...

then its just a matter of keeping the psp up to date :)

hope that helps...

Thanks for Everything,

Thanks for responding guys but it still doesnt help me first of all with my initial problem of the "incorrect psar".

I'll worry about updating m33 later but first I just need to get the first one installed. Whats the solution to my INCORRECT PSAR????
