Stop Automatic Updates

Is there a way to stop a game from automatically updating? I could have sworn I had seen something on here or some other PSP site that there was a program that would stop a game from automatically updating your PSP's firmware. I've been searching all day, but can't find it anywhere. If anyone can lead me in the right direction, that'd be great.

you can use the firmware tricker but most if not all 2.00+ GAMES DON'T work!!!!!!!!
