Thanks :D

Are you still planning on a commercial release or was it a spot on GOAT games?

No no..I do not develop any further on DCASTLE.....so the demo (which is playable) is availabe for free....

currently I moved more to the NDS.....but I must admit...programming the Dreamcast was more fun....the NDS is a little beast.it's mutch harder to get any decent results

Great to see you around again, A128! and thanks for the link!

Edit: Btw, we have included the DCastle Preview to the Sandman Dreamcast Demo Disc (http://dcevolution.netfirms.com/downloads/collection/Sandman.rar) we have released at DCEvolution.net a while back and we have had a few thousand downloads before our site got hacked in last December. (I will look up the exact number later.)

Do you have plans to still release Holly 3d (http://a128.atspace.com/holly3d/) ? - I imagine that there would be a lot of people interested in a powerful 3d engine like this.

I will release the source of dcastle and the modified version of iris3d I used for that game.....as you will see the code could be a mess to look throw...but I hope it does not

I will not release holly 3d ....simply it's not finished and currently (this might change) I do not develop for DC

but the modified iris3d version included in the dcastle source code it very powerfull.

the difference to iris3d is (if I remember this right)

1) lighting is handled different...very optimized
2)fog is added and is working!
3)bumpmapping is added and working
4)imageloading PVR, added
5)object culling is in two stages
6)billboards added
stage 1 is Sphere culling
stage 2 is box culling

many many bug fixes
