save problems with new games

hi all, just wondering if it is me but some of the new games that i am trying on my UMDemu8 are not saving? i own the game and am playing legit back up - easier to take a bunch on disk rather than umd. but for some reason they just wont access mem card to save - like tokobot? :confused:
