Can a standard USB keyboard be connected to the DC?

I dont know like by some form of adapter. Reason I ask is that no-one where i live has a DC keyboard for sale.

The serial connector looks similar to a USB port but I am sure the wiring is different somewhere along the lines (most consoles are) :)

I am sure this question has been asked a million times before so I apologise in advance.

At that page you can see varius adapters for the D5 and ps2 (not Playstation2) keyboards to adapt to the DC. Then you just need to buy a 2º adapter for USB which will connect to the D5 or ps2 connector on the DC keyboard adapter. If every thing is ok it will work fine. Thou some keys on the keyboard may not work and others will have a complete differente function, but thats ok since the original DC keyboard has its differences. (i recommend the use of ps2 connectors)

A thing i can tell you for sure is that the original DC keyboard doesn't work 100% when connected to a PC vai the "ps2" connector. ;)
