Some of you might know this little indie game, Deadly Rooms Of Death, or DROD for short.

The Game, which started as an open source project, has now turned into a commercial puzzle game developed by Caravel Games (http://caravelgames.com/Articles/Games.html).

If you look at the GFX, they are quite simplistic:

The Engine itself, aswell as the first Game "DROD Architect Edition" is still Open Source. The Source can be found here:

Basically the commercial KDD (King Dugans Dungeon) is a graphically updated Version of the Open Source "Architect Edition". As you can see, there are more episodes for this game, such as Journey To Rooted Hold and The City Beneath.

Unfortunately i am not a Coder, but let me say that i would be very interested in a port of this sweet little game. Is there any Chance the DS Hardware could handle this one? Maybe a homebrew coder wants to take a look at this. :)

If the Engine could be ported, it would be easy to add the retail levels (and updated gfx) by adding the files, like its done in Descent or Doom i guess. There are Demos available for each Episode, and there already is a Linux and Mac Port.
