Got the Xbox 360 e74 Error

someone was ditching their 360 because of the e74 error, wil team xecuters rrod kit fix that error ?

According to llamma.com, the e74 error is to do with the AV Cable or possibly the GPU. I dunno if the kit will help in this sense. Hopefully trying another cable might help or at least be the 1st course of action.

To quote them "E74: AV cable error... There is a problem with the AV cable, try using a different AV cable. If the cable is known to be working then there is a 90% chance it's a scaler chip problem (the "ANA" or "HANA" chip connected directly to the AV cable) in rare cases it is the GPU."

really sorry to say this but iv had the error before and never found a fix, i cnt remember if it was the e74 but probably was as i remember it being the av cable one, try a different one, if not then id sell it lol, im no pro but i spent ages on that thing, let me know how you go on

The one I bought had the E74 error

The guy I took it to told me it was due overheating, Microsoft describes it as "general hardware failure" (http://support.xbox.com/support/en/us/nxe/kb.aspx?id=969905&lcid=1033&category=hardware), so I guess it's a bit more complicated than just AV cable.

He couldn't fix it and offered me to send it to microsoft for repair, I paid like a hundred bucks back then (I think it had extended warranty or something), a lot of time passed and I got it back working and with a 1 month live card, It's still working up to this day.
