EA's Battlefield series could be making a return to the Second World War with a new game titled Battlefield 1943: Pacific rumoured to be making a debut appearance at this week's New York Comic Con.
Videogaming24/7 has been doing the detective work, receiving confirmation that the game is real and will be officially breaking cover later this week. EA CEO John Riccitiello recently announced that a sequel to Battlefield: Bad Company is in production, though long-term fans of the series have been pining for a return to the game's multiplayer roots.
We've reached out to EA for confirmation of Battlefield 1943: Pacific – while we await confirmation pass the time by reading reviews for Battlefield: Bad Company and the series' last excursion to WWII, Battlefield 1942.
