snapped ds, is it possibal to fix?

ok so my coz was going to put his old ds lite in the bin but i came over and asked if i could have it. basically the whole top screen of the ds is completely detached from the bottom (no connection at all, no wires nothing). when i turn on the bottom half the screen flashes wight for a second the gos black again. is there any way to fix this.
