Power problem with wii - red light then nothing!

Picked up a second hand wii this week

knew there was a problem with it so notpaid much for it

the power red light comes on - then press it to power up the wii

the yellow light flashes for a second then nothing - no more lights no sounds from the wii - no power just dead

tried the ac power on a working wii so no issue there

anyone know what the problem is and how to fix it?

The Wii is possibly bricked, try holding the RESET button when powering it up (if the failsafe mode is there).
