--------------------------------

This is a PSP adoptation of Jazz JackRabbit 1 by Epic MegaGames.
This port is based on OpenJazz port by Alister Thomson

get it here (http://deniska.dcemu.co.uk/bin/jazz.zip)

INSTALLATION
------------------
1.5 users:
Copy folders from 1.5 folder to ms:/PSP/GAME
Unzip the contents of the shareware version in to ms:/PSP/GAME/jazz
The shareware can be obtained from: http://www.dosgamesarchive.com/download/game/111
1.0 users:
Use EBOOT.PBP from 1.0 folder& files from 1.5/jazz/ folder
Unzip the contents of the shareware version in to ms:/PSP/GAME/jazz
The shareware can be obtained from: http://www.dosgamesarchive.com/download/game/111

2.0 users:
Please test if either version works with the recent versions of eboot loader for 2.0 [EDIT] I got reports that it works with 0.9 loader :-)

Notes: I did not try this executable with the full version. If you have a full version please
contact me and let me know.
You must convert all .psm files to .s3m with Chronos Module Converter
[EDIT] The full version's episodes 1,3,4,5,6 seem to run ok!!!
if you have the full version, unzip the attached s3m files!

FX support is minimal: jump, shoot and get item events are linked to the wav files (jump.wav, shot.wav..)
If you have the original/better samples overwrite these files

CONTROLS
----------------
[X] FIRE
[R.TRIGGER] JUMP
[O] CHANGE WEAPON
[SELECT] BACK TO MENU/EXIT
[TRIANGLE] ENTER

Enjoy,

DENIS

shareware works fine with loader 0.9 and eloader beta on 2.00 however you can fall out the map and not die lol and the controls are a bit weird and theres also quite a few bugs but still very well done indeed. this is great fun - reminds me also of the old days, keep it up. :)

I just got the full version of the game.. and managed to startup
episodes 1,3,4,5,6 on 1.5 firmware... not sure what's wrong with the other episodes..but I'll look in to it...
Anyway, make sure you load the s3m music files as well as the 4 wave files.
I'll attach the s3m music conversion files for the full version to the top of the thread..
Feel free to try those or do the conversion yourself...

The game works fine for me with the eLoader on my PSP with FW 2.6.
But sometimes when it starts, there is only sound and no pictures, except for one pixel in the upper left corner ^^.

Great work! I love to play Jazz on my PSP :)

JAZZ O________O
GREAT!!

but..
I have a problem! :|
When I try to start a New Game (by pressing triangle), the game crashes and show me a bluescreen with:
"I regret to inform you your psp hast just crashed"
and some information in numbers...
What I did wrong?
I only copied the 1.5 folder on my psp, copied the shareware in the jazz folder and converted all *.psm files into *.s3m

btw: The new s3m files work! :)

I like the Blue Screen of Death That informs me my PSP has just crashed! As posted earlier episodes 2,a,b,c,and bonus crash on load. Im gonna play through the other episodes and see if there are any other crashes. It seems to also crash if you set on the title screen too long. Thanks for the port, I got some playin to do. By the way playing on a 1.5, and im using the Jazz cd compilation.

one little bonus that you may or may not already know about.
http://www.dosgamesonline.com/index/game/Jazz%20Jackrabbit%20Xmas%20Edition/513/
the xmas edition is also free and it gets rid of that shareware edition logo on the startup screen. It seems to work fine on the first level but i had it crash on the second. cant wait for the next version ;)
