I received a pre-modded DVD drive with a wiikey 2 mod chip today, and after swapping the drive with the original DVD drive in my wii, It no longer boots retail games. I am not sure if I have to do some form of software update for the wiikey2 in order for the DVD drive to recognise discs.
I have copied the update file onto a CD and a Single Layer disc, and each have been deemed as 'unrecognisable discs' by the wii. Will a update only work by using a Dual Layer disc? Also, when i try to burn the Update file to a disc using Img burn, it tells me that the file is not a image file, and so, will not burn it to the disc :confused: I have to use the default drag and drop system by windows - which could be another problem?
