What really is overclocking the psp? I heard it can permanently damage your psp. Ive also heard that it comes "underclocked" so it wont really harm it. Ive also heard that its overdoing the processor.

So my question is, Is it okay for me to do this without doing any damage to my psp?

Overclocking is where you make the processor run faster then its (predefined?) factory tested limit.

The factory default for the PSP CPU is 333mhz however most games and Sony's default will run it at 222mhz to save battery life.

I haven't heard of any ill reports of users running the PSP at 333mhz nor had any problems myself.
