View Full Version : Help: Selfbooting Sega Rally 2 WITH CDDA

I've been trying to make a selfboot of the game Sega Rally 2.
The ripped release doesn't contain any CDDA, and I have the PC version of the game, which contains CDDA.

So I calculated the space of the CD and realised that some CDDAs can be placed in the game.

I managed everything OK.

Then I went to make the selfboot with the tutorial from Echelon.
The thing is: I follow the tutorial, the game goes ON, but no CDDA is played!!

I checked the IP.BIN information about the tracks of the original CD.

The 1st track is a DATA (which in this case is AUDIO because of the selfbooting purpose)
The rest of the tracks are the CDDA ones (OK)
The last track is ALSO DATA (which is the actual DATA of the game).

I made the CD like this, and thing is: the game works, but without reading the CDDA of the CD.

I was thinking: There is a way of making selfboot, but instead of using the 1st track as AUDIO, I could make the selfboot just like the game, where the 1st track IS DATA, the others are CDDA and the last track could be IGNORED or DUMMYed.

Resuming: I gotta know how to make a data/audio/data CD!

Data/Audio/Data
Dummy/CDDA/Game

Anyone can help me out with this problem??
Tnx in advance!
