nintendo ds r4 dilemma

hi all,

im new to the forum as i have just bought my ds and seem to be having a problem with the r4 sdhc card i have just bought (pictured below)

i have a 2gb micro-card and have been trying to get my ds to recognise the r4 for hours now and im just getting very frustrated, i have been searching the forum for about 30-40 minutes and can't find any topics that are similar to the problem that i am having.

after formatting the micro-card i installed the firmware on it from the cd, the ds_menu file,moonshl and system files but when i put the r4 into my ds i get the loading screen then a little red micro-card picture in red that had a sad face on it with the word 'menu?' undernieth and it doesn't load up any further from there. i have tried downloading the firmware from at least 10 different sites including www.r4iiisdhc.com which is written on the box, but still no joy

i have no idea why it won't work? ive done everything it says in the book.

please help?

Perhaps this clone is in the wrong box?

What exactly does it say on the card?

You mention you put a ds_menu file on the card but the firmware for the R4 III SDHC has no file like that. It has an R4 folder, moonshell and some DAT file.

Go to linFox and try to find exactly what clone you own and grab the firmware or try them all reformatting in between.
